Floral Print Cotton Spandex Jersey Crop Tee REVIEW

Hello lovelies! Last weekend, I went to Venice Beach to see Nina Nesbitt, an amazing Scottish musician. Me and my friend decided to pop in the American Apparel beach outlet, and I got the cutest top!

Although this top wasn't discounted at the outlet, I had to get it. The material is sorta like swimsuit material - perfect for a hot day in Southern California (like Coachella!) By the way, I'm going to Coachella this year! I could not be more excited... I'm already planning my outfit!

Anyway, the top fits really well considering I got an XS and I'm quite petit. I'm sure the top would look good on all sizes, as it's really stretchy. Definitely recommend this.

DIY Baking Soda Hair Wash

Hello lovelies! Yesterday, I was searching the internet for a hair cleanse to wash out all of my hair's nasty buildup. I stumbled upon the Baking Soda Wash; a simple, cheap way to get all of the grossness out if my hair. And it really worked!

You will need:
1 part Baking Soda
3 parts water
a plastic container

Step 1:

Mix the baking soda and water together in a plastic container. The baking soda will most likely collect at the bottom soon after mixing, so be prepared to mix it again right before you use it.

Step 2:

Put your mixture inside or right outside your shower so that you can use it while washing your hair.

Step 3:

Wash your hair with shampoo, and make sure to rinse all of the shampoo out before the next step.

Step 4:

Mix and pour the baking soda mixture on top of your hair, on your scalp. Make sure to get all of the baking soda out. Your hair will feel dry and rough compared to how it normally feels in the shower. This means that it's working. Let the baking soda sit for about a minute while massaging the mixture into your scalp.

Step 5:

Wash all of the baking soda out with cold water. This will seal your hair cuticle, making it easier to get the baking soda's white powder out of your hair, as well as adding shine. Do not use conditioner or any other hair products. Let your hair air dry.

When I performed these steps, my hair felt instantly clean. It's like that feeling when you've left from the salon and your hair feels extremely clean. It's great, isn't it?

COACHELLA 2013

Someone please take me. PLEASE. The xx, Postal Service, Ben Howard, Vampire Weekend, Alt-J, Local Natives, and way more... could it get any better? I've never been to a festival before, and to be honest, I didn't really care or know much about Coachella until this year... Of course the tickets are crazy expensive and my mom won't take me. Anyone feeling really generous? Wanna help out a music-obsessed teenager in need?

If I could go to Coachella 2013, this is what I would wear.

Los Angeles Area Fashion Markets & Deals

Hello lovelies! As I'm a low-budget fashion enthusiast (shoutout to being 14!), I'm always on the lookout for markets, outlets, and deals to snag cool pieces at a great price. Here's a small list of tips that I've picked up over my *short amount* of years hunting:

The Melrose Trading Post is open every Sunday from 9 AM - 5 PM. This market has everything from furniture to antique jewelry and handmade accessories. My personal favorite is the giant tent full of vintage Levi's that are dyed, shredded, cut, and repurposed into high-waisted denim shorts. My shorts that I got from this stand have definitely been worn at least half of the days I had off during Summer. The Melrose Trading Post is also pretty close to Silver Lake, a part of the city with cool boutiques and awesome food.

Open 9am to 9pm daily with free admission, the flea market at the American Apparel factory is perfect. Here, they sell items from old seasons and stuff that they made too many of. For the American Apparel enthusiast like me, the clothing here is much more affordable than the clothing in the actual store.

The FIDM Scholarship store sells new clothing, fabric, trim, and more to generate funds for scholarships. I was told about this store by my mom, who was told by her friend who has a daughter that visits this store on a weekly basis. It's a cool way to get cheap clothing and materials, and help out students at the same time.

The Rose Bowl flea market is the biggest market I've seen! It's in Pasadena (at the Rose Bowl) and happens the 2nd Sunday of every month. You'll want to get there right when it opens due to the large crowds (and the heat, normally), but it's so worth it. This market has the biggest selection, from new to old. Everything can be found, including vintage clothing, furniture, prints, cat toys, food, music, tools, and more. Bring a friend and take a day trip, you won't regret it.

Located right off of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, Space 15 Twenty is an awesome location for shopping, eating, and cool events. I attended at Rookie Mag event there during the summer, and loved it. There's Urban Outfitters and Free People stores, a cool book store, and Umami Burger! Project Urban Renewal, a handpicked vintage collection, is open on Tuesday 12-5pm and Wedneday -Sunday 12-8pm. My mom got this awesome Mexican shift dress for $20 that she used for her Frida Kahlo Halloween costume. Normally, there's other booths at Space 15 Twenty. When I was there, Clara from Clara's Cakes was selling delicious sweets, included the "Inception Cookie", an oreo baked inside a chocolate chip cookie.  There's also a food market, where I got an awesome horchata with Tavi Gevinson (see above).

If any of my lovely Los Angeles readers want to add to this list, leave a comment telling me your favorite spot for finding deals!
